Catholic Schools' Week

Our Lady of Guadalupe Academy joins with schools in the Archdiocese of Newark and Catholic schools across the country to celebrate Catholic Schools Week. Schools typically celebrate with activities recognizing the student, families, and all the school community. Through these events, schools focus on the value Catholic education provides to young people and its contributions to our church, our communities, and our nation.

Our Lady of Guadalupe, joined in solidarity with thousands of students emboldened by a growing protest movement over gun violence, walked out of school in a nationwide demonstration, one month after a gunman killed 17 people at a high school in Florida.

Prayers Answered

We are so proud to announce that Our Lady of Guadalupe Academy has collected 273 sets of rosary beads.YES, we said 273 ! We are going to definitely need a bigger box. The rosaries will be sent, along with the cards from our second graders to Houston, Texas this weekend. Just imagine the powerful message of prayer and hope we are sending out from our school. We should be really proud.
